COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
1. Respectful communication
Differences in opinion are natural and expected; however, personal attacks, hostility, threats, and insults are not acceptable. Apollo members and staff should engage in respectful and courteous communication at all times.
2. No tolerance for hate speech or discrimination
Racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, and other forms of discrimination are not tolerated. Anyone promoting hate speech or prejudice based on ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics will be removed.
3. Our Apollo nights are a safe space for socialising and networking.
They are for meeting other members and listening to new music. The venues we use are safe spaces- inclusive to all genders, religion and sexuality. Harassment, violence or any other inappropriate behaviours will not be tolerated.
4. Protecting user privacy
Members should never share personal information (theirs or others’) in public forums without consent. This includes email addresses, phone numbers, private messages, or other confidential information. We also store members' information in line with GDPR guidelines and will never share your info without your permission.
5. Using Social Media, Email, Discord and other social channels appropriately
No explicit content, spam, or hate content will be approved for distribution. If you are unsure of appropriateness for social media, please ask. To ensure relevant and valuable conversations, please keep staff inboxes clear of spam, unhelpful promotional content, and NSFW (not safe for work) material.
6. What we do NOT distribute:
We will not distribute ANY work that goes against community guidelines (hate speech, sexism etc), plagiarism, or any work that relies wholly on AI in its creation. Every song uploaded goes through a rigorous plagiarism detection process, with the lyrics and song content also monitored.
7. Giving proper credit for shared content
Members must credit original sources when posting articles, images, or other materials used to promote their music. They must obtain rights to any imagery used in association with their music. If unsure, read this guide on creative commons law.:

8. Encouraging collaboration and support
Apollo thrives on knowledge-sharing and peer-to-peer support. We encourage members to offer help, attend gigs, answer questions, and contribute valuable insights.
